The famous tour of Lake Mont Cenis. Between the landscapes, the marmots and the fortifications, you will no longer have anything to worry about. Remember to keep the balance anyway. Great, that's the word that sums up this journey.
You can reach the Mont cenis pass by car or by the Val Cenis ski lifts, via an easy 3km link that takes you to the pass.
Find out more about the opening days and times of the ski lifts.
High mountain atmosphere and wide open spaces for this route, on which you will always be around 2000m above sea level. You will take the Petit Mont Cenis road to warm up. This one turns into a track to explore the wild parts of the lake tour. You will pass under the fort of Pattacreuse, that of Malamot (look up it is at 2917m) and next to the fort of Variselle. You will return to "civilization" by crossing the dam. Once you have crossed the road, you will climb the 2000 trail to the Fort de Ronce. A short descent into the middle of the mountain pastures then takes you to a narrow single on a beautiful balcony! Keep the balance anyway there are some vertiginous passages. Arriving at the hamlet of La Buffaz, you will let yourself slide quietly towards the Mont Cenis pass. A must-see tour of the Haute Maurienne Vanoise mountain bike domain!
