Two beautiful climbs punctuate this route, which nevertheless remains accessible to intermediate level mountain bikers. A stop to admire the monolith of Sardières is an interesting break.
A first ascent leads you to the village of Sardières, then above Sardières, you reach the famous monolith. After this geological curiosity you reach the station of Aussois, to then descend towards the banks of the Arc, and return to Bramans by a climb that requires a few legs.
The Sardières monolith is composed of carneules rising 93 metres above the ground on a relatively straight vertical axis. These dolomitic limestone rocks, compact and hard, thus resisted the erosion suffered by the site and were gradually cleared of the less resistant rocks that surrounded it.
