Bureau de Val Cenis Sollières
The station with a thousand faces
Val Cenis is a mountain resort at the perfect altitude to get some fresh air and recharge your batteries in a very natural environment at the foot of the Col du Mont-Cenis. It is also a multifaceted destination: family and sporting, authentic and innovative, relaxing and lively, generous and sincere.
Since 1 January 2017, Val Cenis has no longer been just a ski resort but a municipality that now includes the old villages of Bramans, Sollières-Sardières, Termignon-la-Vanoise, Lanslebourg Mont-Cenis and Lanslevillard.
Val Cenis was then, in terms of surface area, the second largest municipality in metropolitan France behind the municipality of Arles.
Val Cenis is also a rich historical heritage (San Sebastian chapel, Chappe telegraph, archaeology museum...) and exceptional sites such as the plateau of Mont-Cenis, on the Italian border, or Bellecombe, in the heart of the Vanoise National Park.
- Mont-Cenis, its lake, at the gateway to the Italian foothills. It is accessible by foot, bicycle, EAV, mountain bike and of course by car.
- The Vanoise National Park and its eternal snows, its high peaks, its secret valleys, its chalets and numerous mountain refuges, ideal for a return to nature and a complete change of scenery. Many trails and hiking routes take you there.
- The Monolith, a real geological curiosity, is accessible by road or paths. It is also a high level climbing spot!
- The Saint-Pierre d'Extravache postcard, the oldest church in Maurienne, and the Dent Parrachée, the highest peak overlooking the upper valley, the glacial domes of the Vanoise...
